Yvonne Marie D'Souza

It is with a sense of profound sadness that the family of Yvonne Marie D’Souza announces her peaceful passing on March 30, 2025, in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 90.

Yvonne was born in Bandra, Mumbai, India, to Lily & Joseph (Meropio) Pereira and married William (‘Willie’) in 1961. She is survived by her three sons, Russell (Diane), Darren (Melody) & Randolph (Sharon) and cherished grandchildren, Bianca, Capri, Nicholas, Nathan, Brianna & Savannah. She emigrated to the US in 1999, and settled in Kansas City, to be closer to her children and their families.

Yvonne was a lifelong elementary school teacher and has left her legacy with the many students whose lives she touched, starting with her three children. A heavenly welcome awaits her from her husband, parents, brother Dugald and sister Yolande (Sabino) in addition to her sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

A visitation with livestream will begin at 10:30am (US CST) /11:30 am (US EST) at Prince of Peace Church in Olathe, Kansas on Friday, April 4, 2025.   Mass will begin at 11:00 AM.  The visitation and service will be livestreamed to family and friends who cannot join the service in person.
