Our angel of tough Love departed this life February 20, 2025 .
The unconditional tender love from “Mamaw” “DD” “Angel” THE Wende Kae, this love started when she became a mother to her living children with Jimbo. Jessica, Robbie, and Kaelyn Routh. Mamaw demonstrated unconditional love by loving her grandchildren with absolute admiration. Tony, Jaden, Aria, Sawyer, Tyson and Tegon will live on with the superb love of their mamaw.
DD love that could only be given by Wende Kae will persevere with living nephews Tye Webb, Nathan Lewis & Ryan Bell. Carrying on loving their children Tyrah, Tarron, Zach, Gage, Trevor, Kash, Londyn, Bentley, Easton & Paisleigh.
Wende Kae felt exhilarated by love she shared with nieces Lily & Ouanje.
Wende entered, eternal rest, delighted to hold her granddaughter Gabby and hug her family who’s been extending their love for Wende Kae’s ascension to her everlasting life.
Tender love remains here on earth with all of her grandchildren, children and surviving family for here and after.
Wende came into this world by living Mother Gwendolyn G. Sebilla in KCMO February 10, 1970 given by Wendell K. O’Flaherty.
Tough love was instilled in Wende Kae growing up with living brothers Genaro, Phillip & resting brother Andy Lewis, Cousin Roach & Charlie Weldon. Love wasn’t always tough, Wende Kae shared many occasions and memories with much more family in KCK & KCMO. Later the family relocated and Wende was raised in Plattsburg MO with resting father Dusty & living sisters Brandy and Sierra Bell. Wende initiated living sister Stephanie Breece to the Ménage with veracious love and loved her ever since along with all of us.
Wende graduated Plattsburg MO class of 1989 and was an eager pupil amid her class with dreams amongst the stars, starting the D.A.R.E. program with her graduating class. She also attended MCC.
Wende exhibited many talents as an artist, CNA, baker, bartender, card player, movie star, planter, poet, hustla, soljah, Gangstress.
Wende Kae held all the traits of Queen of hearts! Wende’s loyalty to her companion Buddy Love showed such character.
Ever since Wende was young she carried a second heart for the canine in her.
When Wende considered someone a friend they became our family. Wende Kae aka “Angel” filled numerous of hearts and played a role in many lives impacting us all in a major way.
Through Missouri & Kansas Wende was known for weaving through traffic getting to where she’s going with or without a license and still being late.
Coloring & writing was her thang. Releasing negative energy in a positive manner is what Wende would do after years of learning anger management with therapy.
Therapy, doctor visit’s & sobriety kept Wende occupied while in & out of housing programs before experiencing homelessness in different tent communities in Kansas City. Wende Kae built her village Down North through the Thirties far East, West & Out South always making her rounds in and out thrift stores. Wende praised the services of Hope & Faith, Restart & Hope City. Circumstances prevented Wende from always being cool calm & collect, but if you knew Wende Kae, you knew that her attitude was nothing but love.
Addiction is a disease we are all affected by in one way or another. One lesson learnt is to take it gentler on those suffering. This is all of our first time living.
The fellowship of addicts & alcoholics made Wende feel empowered and able to be sober. Wende Kae wasn’t no newcomer to NA, CAG or AA. Even through her addictions Wende showed love by leading addicts in active addiction to meetings even during sobriety. Wende attended meetings, collected coins, spoke & wrote for motivation in the society. Believe it or not, Wende Kae even attended Smithville campouts & lake events in Illinois sober.
Wende urged anyone & everyone to know their family health history. Type 1 diabetes & the way sweets loved Wende Kae was a struggle. Natural causes of a heart too big, a little ironic don’t you think?
Love is the mutual sensation we share with Wende, when we remember Wende Kae recollect with Love and do unto others how we could’ve done better to love her.
If you know better, you do better so remember to show Love no matter how tough the world gets.
