Tamie Lynn Renard

d. January 31, 2025

Lenexa, Kansas

Tamie Lynn Renard, 64, joined her husband, Chris, for her heavenly home coming to Jesus January 31, 2025. Tamie was born in Lomita, CA. Grew up in Moravia, IA where she graduated high school. Tamie was trained as a chef in CA after high school. A very creative woman. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafting and cooking. A very loving and giving spirit who cared for her veteran sister, Nancy, 30 years until her death. Tamie created a charity after Chris’s death to help others. She created Crown bag quilts for charity raffles at Rooster’s Bar and Grill. She had a wicked sense of humor. EX: Her favorite holiday was Halloween. She and Chris met at a Halloween party and had annual parties as a couple. One year Tamie bought a new cat litter box and litter scoop. Everything was sanitized. She made a chocolate cake topped with fluffy white frosting covered with crumbled oreo cookies and tootsie roll pieces scattered to give the full effect of a well-used litter box. Yes, just as you are thinking. Nobody at the party could get past the image to eat it. A legacy that she was very proud of was her Friendsgiving Dinners. She started when she worked at the Delta Café for those without family or a place to go to have a meal together. While at Rooster’s Bar and Grill, she continued the Friendsgiving Dinner. She was thrilled that it went on in 2024 even though she couldn’t be there.

Tamie was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Rausch; father, Dennis Goins; husband, Christopher Renard; and sister, Nancy Armstrong. Tamie was proud to be the second mom to Chris’ children Heather Lester, Melissa Renard and Tyler Renard and Nana to 13 grandchildren. Tamie’s surviving siblings include Brother A. Curtis Goins and sisters Susan (Goins) Parker, Bridgette Stark and Susie Grinstead. Her favorite uncle, Danny “Bubby” Jenkins who was able to visit and give her the best day she had in January 2025. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
