Susann (Fornaresio) Keena passed away on October 31, 2023. She was 83 years old.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, her sister, Ruth Ann, and her parents, Marian and Clement “Tino” Fornaresio.
She will be missed by her five children: Anna Keena, Paula (Scott) Hutton, Jeff (Anna) Keena, Chuck (Julie) Keena, and Phil (Michelle) Keena. 12 grandchildren: Heather (Joe) Nichols, Erin Walton, Jena (Jordan) Brown, Jack Walton, Nicole Keena, Courtney Keena, Alex (David) Orellana, Emily Keena, Jared (Katie Barr) Hutton, Wyatt Keena, Korie Hutton, and Cody Hutton. 7 great-grandchildren: Colin Brown, Cooper Chan, Kennedy Walton, Maren Brown, Palmer Nichols, Sawyer Nichols, and Ellie Orellana, as well as a large extended family and many friends.
Sue had a wicked sense of humor and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, hiking, and fishing. Sue was a college football fan, especially Notre Dame, and enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and loved all things KU.
The family welcomes you to join them on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Olathe, Kansas, at 9:30 a.m., where a rosary will be held for Sue, a Mass of the Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. Sue will be interred next to Ernie in Stockton, Missouri, on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Stockton City Cemetary, Stockton, Missouri.
In place of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to one of Sue's life-long philanthropies: Special Olympics Kansas or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
