Clinton

On Sunday, March 23, 2025, our brother Scott L. Untersee went home to be with Jesus.

For anyone who knew Scott, you will be happy to know that Scott had been living a peaceful, healthy life close to family and friends in Clinton Missouri. We've all been in a bit of shock with Scotts passing but we are also left with warm memories of a brother and uncle who will be dearly missed. We are proud of the hopes and dreams in the second act of his life that he was establishing. Most importantly, In keeping with Scotts wishes, he gave the Generous Gift of Life through Organ donation. In this life it is a rarity to be called a hero. Few of us will ever be known as such. They say that there is a 1% chance of having the "perfect death" to allow us to become an organ donor. We have no idea when we check that donor box on the back of our drivers license how rare it is that we can actually follow through with that. Scott was able to give life to: a 70 year old man in the Midwest, he was gifted his healthy liver, a 69 year old woman in the Midwest, she was gifted one healthy kidney and a 66 year old male on the East coast, he was gifted the other kidney. Scotts pancreas was donated for science and research to hopefully continue to save and improve lives.

As much as we would rather have Scott here with us, we have a huge amount of peace that the ending of His life was perfect in that it allowed him to give life to so many. There was a quilt that was laid on Scott in the hospital, there were beautiful and heartfelt words embroidered on it. Up close to his face were the words "You are our Hero."

Scott was preceded in death by his parents Georgene and Julius. He is survived by sisters Teresa Untersee, Sarah (Mike) Russell, Shannon (Kevin Miller) Untersee, brothers Julius and Shawn (Denise) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and interment will be in Cedarville, IL at a later date.
