Robert B. (“Bob”) Frantz was born on December 26,1931, in Dayton, Ohio.
He was a veteran in the US Air Force during the Korean war and stationed in Fort
Worth, Texas. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Electrical
Engineering.
He owned his own business, Technical Sales Associates in Overland Park, KS.
His interests included flying his Cessna airplane, bowling, singing in the Holy Spirit
Catholic Parish choir and with the Senior Barn Players both in Overland Park, KS.
Bob died at home on January 25, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones. To the
end, he loved life and his family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty in Kansas, his son, Bob Frantz (spouse
Karen Simpson) in Montana, his daughter, Kathleen Frantz (spouse George Jacoby) in
Oregon, his daughter, Linda Frantz in Missouri, and his son, John Frantz in Kansas.
What can we say, as Bob would sing at the end a gig, “and I think to myself, what a
wonderful world, oh yeah.”
Funeral Mass, 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 21 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W 103rd, Overland Park, KS 66215.
Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Holy Family Mausoleum, 8300 Quivira Road, Lenexa, KS 66215.
