Nancy Carol Mott

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Carol Mott, age 70, on January 8th, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her home in Gardner, KS.

Nancy was born in 1954 in Olathe, KS, to Wendolyn Henry Lattner, III and Marilyn Jean Lattner. She grew up in Olathe, KS, where she developed a love for owl, zebra, and southwest collectables, sewing her own clothes, knitting, and garage sales. Nancy went on to achieve an associate’s degree and started her career as a dental hygienist.

Throughout her life, Nancy was dedicated to her volunteer work with the Catholic Social Services and later The Fibromyalgia Coalition International. She was known for her generosity of time, kindness, and a willingness to help those in need. Nancy is survived by her children: Cameron Mott, Laura Dossett and Kevin Mott; her grandchildren: Katie Dossett, Dylan Dossett, Ellen Dossett, Colin Mott, Carly Mott and Mila Mott; her siblings: Becky Bentancur, Vickie Adair and Kathy McConnell; her 4 nieces and 5 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: W.H. and Marilyn Lattner; her siblings: Shannon Lattner, Van Lattner, Chris Lattner, Jeanne Woods; and 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

A celebration of life will be held on January 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at Vineyard Community Church, located at 8301 Lamar, Overland Park 66207. Time will be allotted to share verbal or written stories or anecdotes. A gathering will immediately follow.

Nancy Carol Mott will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, humor, and love will never be forgotten.
