Lawrence "Larry" Martin Neal

Lawrence (Larry) Martin Neal, 73, of Linwood Kansas passed away peacefully at home in the presence of family on September 27, 2024. Born May 17, 1951 in Los Alamos, New Mexico to parents Leroy and Neva (Cummings) Neal, Larry graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1969 and spent some time exploring the United States. 

In February 1985, Larry married Anna Marie (Reece) Souders; they had two children. Over the course of his professional career, Larry held many positions at Barnes and Dodge, Inc., and was a member of the SMART Local Union No. 2. He was an avid golfer, he loved to fish, and enjoyed photography. Larry was preceded in death by both of his parents and brother-in-law John Park. 

He is survived by wife Reece, son Sam (Malea) Neal, daughter Rachel Neal and partner Felix Bransch , grandson John, siblings Addie (Steve) Soule, Tal (Greg) Hogue and John Paul (Dawn) Neal; as well as numerous other family members and friends who loved him. 

The family will be hosting a Celebration Of Life event in the Trail Room at the Blue Moose in Lenexa, Kansas on October 26, 2024 from noon to four P.M. (12:00 - 4:00). Friends and family are encouraged to stop in to share memories and celebrate the life of Larry Neal. In lieu of flowers, the family requests charitable contributions and suggests the following charities:
