Kenneth W. Holrich drifted into the loving arms of Jesus on December 4, 2023, at the age of 75. He was a sweet and faithful man who loved the Lord, his church, family, country, and community.
Kenneth was born on July 9, 1948, in Leavenworth, Kansas, to George and Margaret Holrich. He met the love of his life and best friend, Linda, in 1968, and proclaimed it was love at first sight. They were known for walking around town holding hands and enjoyed bike riding. They were married on March 26, 1984. Together, they had one child: Sarah.
He had a signature gift of joy, shown through his cheerful attitude, witty sense of humor, and bright smile. He will be remembered for his caring heart that he shared with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them – and if you knew him, you knew it. The first to call on a birthday or anniversary, ending every conversation with an “I love you,” and “I am praying for you.” Kenneth’s faith was an essential part of his life, never shying away from sharing Jesus’ love and standing up for his values. Even at the end of life when pain and illness made him physically weak his faith kept him strong and positive, which continues to be an inspiration to many. He was singing hymns of praise on his death bed knowing for certain of his eternal life with his maker.
He was a proud American who loved his country. From a young age he collected American flags and always flew one in his yard. This is a tradition he proudly shared with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his sweetheart of 55 years Linda, daughter Sarah Chadwick (Tyler), and four beloved grandchildren: Liam, Elias, Rory, and Kent.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at Fellowship West –Legends Campus, 12320 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS, 66109. Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
