Kaylee Dawn Burger, 22, passed away unexpectedly August 25, 2023, at KU Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services and Celebration of Life with be held at a later date to be announced was plans are finalized.

Kaylee was a kind and loving soul who didn’t know a stranger: to know her was to love her. She was instantly your best friend. Spending time with her family and siblings was truly her favorite thing to do. She loved to dance, sing, and be silly. Kaylee loved to read her favorite books were thriller and Amish romance novels. She loved bible study with her family. Kaylee lit up any room she was in. She loved Starbucks, hot chips with cream cheese, white chicken lasagna, and her grandma’s homemade lasagna. She was definitely a foodie. Kaylee also passed down her love for Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift to her siblings and little cousins.
Kaylee’s departure from her earthly home has given five other people life through organ donation. She is truly a superhero. In Kaylee’s own words, “I’m gonna live forever!”
Survivors include her mother, Misty Spruell, father, Max Burger and wife and second mother, Amber Saale-Burger, her siblings, Rabecca Burger, Kristinaa Rodriguez, Billy Anderson, Nicholas Huggins, Frankie, Mary, and Chevy Burger, Toriann and Max Burger III, and one nephew, Ace Burger-Carr. Her grandparents, Max and Renee Burger, Grandfather, Danny Spruell, Grandmother, Michele Hernandez, Great Grandmother, Ruth Hernandez-Santoyo, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her aunts, Kenda Spruell, Monica Burger, and Chrissy Saale, Great Aunt, Sheila Dunbar, and Grandmothers, Cindy Tavis and Mary Saale.
The family is having a Taco benefit dinner at the Clubhouse. The address is 1635 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, Kansas. There will also be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and shirts available for purchase.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude for everyone’s kind words, support, donations and prayers during this sad and difficult time. God bless you all.
