Kathleen "Kathy" Henkel

Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Henkel, 63, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away at home on July 21, 2024. She was born to Evelyn Leach and Richard Cooper on January 22, 1961, in Fresno, California. She married her beloved husband David Burdette on March 4, 2011.

Kathy was an avid lover of a good deal, spontaneous shopping trips and the Kansas City Chiefs. Kathy was known for helping anyone who needed it without hesitation, to include the neighborhood animals. She loved spending time with her husband and her cats, Cutie Pie, Milo, Babygirl and Odi.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Cooper.

She is survived by her loving husband David Burdette; her daughters, Misty Killingsworth and Cristy Mueller; her grandchildren Madison Killingsworth and Kayla Mueller; her sister, Cheri Cooper Garrett and her husband, Patrick Garrett; numerous nieces and nephews, and several other loving family and friends.

Kathy’s kind heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
