Karen Elaine Oldberg

Karen Elaine Oldberg of Kansas City died on June 01, 2024 at AdventHealth Hospital, Shawnee Mission, KS, after a short illness.  She was 67 years old.

Daughter of Philip and Muriel Oldberg, she was a life-long resident of Kansas City.  She attended local schools including Hale Cook Elementary, George Caleb Bingham Junior High and Southwest High School.

Professionally, she was a registered nurse who served patients for more than 40 years.  She worked in a variety of specialties at a number of Kansas City healthcare facilities including St Luke's and St. Joseph Hospitals.

Karen was a life-long friend to so many of her nursing friends and many others whose lives were positively impacted by her presence in their lives.

She was preceded in death by son Matthew Spottswood and parents Philip and Muriel Oldberg.  Karen is survived by her three children Daniel (Sarah) Spottswood, Michael (Hayli) Spottswood and Andrew (Chelsea) Spotttswood and seven grandchildren Atticus, Phineas, Tatum, Harper, Reed, Ivy and Philip; sister Pamela and 4 brothers Carl, Mark, Eric and David.
