John Robert Moore

John Robert Moore of Overland Park, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home on October 13, 2024. Known by many as Johnny Bob, he grew up in the Turner community of Kansas City Ks. He graduated from Turner High School in 1961, where he was an accomplished basketball player and track athlete. After high school he attended Emporia State, KCK Jr. College and KU. He was a route salesman for Guy's Snacks and Interstate Brands for many years. He was an avid sports fan and could easily recall the details of games played decades ago.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Eugenia Moore. He is survived by his former wife Dorothy and two sons, William J. Moore and Robert P. Moore, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also former wife Cheri, several cousins and many lifelong friends. There will be a Celebration of Life on November 1, 2024 from 3 PM to 5 PM at the Kansas City Funeral Directors located at 4880 Shawnee Drive, Kansas City Ks. 66106. All are welcome.
