Everett Paul Jennings, 89, of Kansas City, KS, passed away on October 29, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Everett was born on December 30, 1934, to Hettie and Eldon Jennings, in Jolo, West Virginia. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the military and served in the Navy and Marine Corps. He was very proud of his time spent serving during the Korean War. He went on to study Business Administration at Concord College.
After graduating, Everett started his job for the Department of Labor, kickstarting a very successful and meaningful career. It is here he met some of his lifelong best friends.
In 1998, Everett retired and spent his time golfing, tending to house projects, attending Green Club meetings at his church, strumming his guitar, and enjoying his children and grandchildren. He was a sports and music fanatic but mostly loved watching his children and grandchildren participate in their activities.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents, Hettie and Eldon, and his son, Eric Jennings. Everett is survived by his loving and caring wife, Marcia Jennings. He was the proud father of Perry Jennings (Lisa), Brandy Jones (Shane), Jordan Jennings, and Alexandra Jennings (Adam). He was fulfilled by the lives of his grandchildren, Charles Jennings, Timothy Jennings, Jackson Jones, Josie Jones, and Julie Jones. All his cherished loved ones will continue to honor his legacy by living their life to the fullest.
Everett’s funeral service will be held on November 29, 2024, at 10:00 am, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kansas City, KS.
