Elena Medrano passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home on July 30, 2023, at the age of 80; Her long battle of Parkinson’s and Dementia came to an end. Elena was born in Romita, Guanajuato, Mexico and migrated to Kansas City in 1971. Elena was a strong hardworking woman. She was the life of the party, had the best sense of humor, and
legendary cooking skills. Some may have even had the chance to buy her famous Burritos and Tamales, adored by many among the community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her three children and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We love you “Nena.” Respects can be paid during her visitation at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2910 Strong Ave Kansas City, Kansas 66106 on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Mass will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will be following the Mass at Maple Hill Cemetery.
