Bobby L. Campbell, 71, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Bobby was born at home in Mt. Judea, Arkansas to Clissie and Stella (Rich) Campbell. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and lived his entire life in the metro area. Bobby retired from Ford Motor Company and later worked for TSV Contracting after retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors, especially fishing. He was a self-taught master at building and working on computers and spent countless hours cataloging and preserving 1000’s of family photos for his family to enjoy. Bobby loved a good bargain and seldom passed up a chance to peruse the Swap and Shop. He was sharp-witted and dry-humored, a man of few words, except when it came to politics (which he still liked to discuss, even in his last days.)

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Clissie and Stella Campbell; sister, Betty Shepherd and his granddaughter, Camryn Campbell. He is survived by his children, Rob Campbell, Tim Campbell, Linda Marine, Rachel Campbell and Treva Campbell, 12 grandchildren and three great granddaughters. He also leaves his sister Barbara Joan Mitchell, brothers, Loyd Collins and Randy Campbell and the mother of his children, Shirley Miller, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life to honor and remember Bobby will be planned at a later date.

Put a candle in the window ‘Cause I feel I’ve got to move Though I’m goin’, goin’ I’ll be comin’ home soon, Long as I can see the light Pack my bag and let’s get movin’ Cause I’m bound to drift awhile Though I’m gone, gone You don’t have to worry, no, Long as I can see the light

~ by John Fogerty and one of Bob’s favorite tunes by CCR
