Bettie Jane West (Gash), age 95, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024. Born on September 20, 1929, in Brookfield, Missouri to Lovie Stevens and Ernest Gash. Bettie lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family.

Bettie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Edward West; her cherished daughter, Doris Cline; siblings Raymond Gash, Billy Gash, Robert Dean Gash, Lucinda (Cindy) Larimer, and James (Jimmy) Gash; her dear friends Ken Stoker and James Rexford; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Amber White.

She leaves behind her loving children: Nathen Belcher; Harold Belcher and his wife Victoria; David West and his wife Kelly; Machelle West; and daughter-in-law, Linda Gardner. She is also survived by her siblings Jennie (Lucy) Garrison, Rosanne West, and Shirley Old.

Bettie's legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Cheryl Cline-Presley, Janet Price, Melissa Blevins and husband, Jesse, Bobby Stearns and Wife, Christina. Matthew West, and Jessica Day and Husband, Jason. She was blessed with great-grandchildren: Jalynne and Olivia Blevins, Ashley Chaney, Myron Presley, Juniper, Jaya, and Jasmine Day; and great-great-grandchildren: Joey, Hazel, Maggie, and Samuel.

Bettie will be laid to rest alongside her beloved Husband Walter on December 5th 2024, at the National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
